Me the Scubba Instructor

My three weeks in Maldives were blissful , the only problem i had was in the initial few days when Ramadan was on .I got no food during the day , but i still managed to find a restaurant called Gourmet that served food to foreigners who had arrived in Male . I mainly travelled by taxi which cost me 25 rupiya per ride . From Male to Hulumale i use to travel by ferry which was 10 rupiya for a ride . Hattu the owner of Dive Club Maldives was very generous and gave a a few dives extra .I did around 12 dives in my stint their and also went into the lagoon , where i learnt how to navigate myself in Shallow water . i leant how to remove my regulator a stay underwater also how to remove my mask underwater and how to take my guides regulator and berate when the oxygen tank was switched off .These were important skills i needed to learn in oder to qualify my open water course .

Hussain and my instructor then took me through the written exam also which i cleared easily. I had my lunch at the Jade restaurant in Male , which was where i enjoyed lobsters and other exciting dishes ,like blueberry cheese cake and Shrimp platter . Diving can get very exhausting and for me it was a great meditative experience , seeing the world under the sea . Maldives is an islamic country but i found it to be liberal in many ways .I saw guys with their girl friends chatting in bars or in the park s or going out on the road on motor bikes .

The island is full of mosques and the early call of Azaan invites people to come in for prayers . Alcohol is illegal and in not served with food .

I was not allowed to dive on the last day because i had to fly the next day to Sri Lanka .This is because of the pressure underwater and the pressure one experiences when one is on a plane may cause an imbalance in the body and could lead to a problem.

I had great discussion with Hatthu where i decide that i will promote Scubba Diving to School’s in India . The deal is yet to be inked but we shook hands on it .
